Comments Broken - Now Fixed

Written by Dogberry on February 18th, 2008

Thanks to a reader, Leigh, I have now fixed the ability to leave comments again. Somehow the Math Comment Spam Protection plugin was blocking all comments from non-registered reader. At first I could not figure out what the problem was because I could leave comments. It was not until I logged out and tried to leave a comment as a ‘regular’ reader that I was able to reproduce the error.

I removed the plugin and now comments are working again for everyone.

Thanks Leigh!

So we’re finally allowed to post comments again? That’s great!

A lot of these broken math CAPTCHAS sked me what 2 + 2 is. I put 4. Your system then said it was the wrong answer. This is straight out of the novel 1984!

Pretty funny the number of spam comments I get on this one post. Like the one above. It complains that they were not able to post a comment, yet the plugin has been gone for over a year.
    Nice Try.
