					<description>&lt;p&gt;On thing I did some years ago instead of a savings account was open an asset management account. At the time I got like 4 free checks a month, it was high interest and most will even give debit cards. I forget which company I got it with as times got hard for a while, but most of the big brokerages had them.&lt;/p&gt;
